In larger organisations Health and Safety professionals are employed or engaged to provide information to ensure that laws are adhered to, procedures are implemented and policies are adapted to meet the changing face of the business.

For the small and medium-sized business, this is often a luxury that cannot even be considered.

However the penalties and the outcomes of not complying with the Law, (It is Criminal Law in the UK) are the same regardless of the size of the organisation.

The Companion gives the small/medium sized business the same advantage as a larger business by providing information and guidance and a record keeping system to help ensure that laws are adhered to, policies are adapted and that procedural implementation is possible.

How it works

The Health and Safety Companion is a constant companion to help you with your obligations in Health and Safety.

The first time you use the Companion, you are guided by the intelligent wizard through a short set of questions. Once answered ,we direct you through to the areas of Health and Safety law most applicable to you and your business.

Our guidance notes are all written in plain easy to understand English.

You can be content in the knowledge that the information you are reading is totally up to date as the system is updated in real time on a daily basis. Your dash board provides you with the guidance notes on each applicable topic and then the documentation that is required, which you can then quickly and easily complete on line.

The Companion neatly reminds you of the areas that you have not yet addressed, and also when existing documentation; procedures and policies need to be updated.

You are allocated a secure account which is only accessible by you or your nominated user and is available to you 24/7/365, so you can work at your own pace, in your own time, from wherever you choose, with an internet connection.

A tutorial is provided so that you can learn the system as you go along. Should you need additional assistance a technical help line is provided.

We regularly communicate with all our users that choose to use the service, providing links to the legislations and breaking news stories in Health and Safety, together with access to consultative papers and links to professionals.
